This is my submission for the 4th challenge; Detail Operation
My uniting theme is nature, as I really enjoyed the weather this weekend and was outside a lot.
I initially had a bit of a more coutur-ish idea for this challenge but went with something more wearable. I wanted to put together a flowy, playful gown to represent nature and spring
Materials used for both looks: Knife pleated Dupion silk at the top, as it's very stiff, easily pleatable and has a very natural, organic look. The drape on both looks is dupion silk as well. The skirt and light green drape is silk chiffon. Pink roses made out of dupion silk as well, as is the jacket. There are beads on boths looks, beaded chiffon, using green and turquoise glass pearls.
------------------------- Sorry this is a bit rushed, but I've been having finals all weeks and am a bit drained (10 hours of designing exam didn't help my inspiration either x.x)

i noticed the way you drew the legs on the day girl! it is so quirky! Those dresses do look very nature-like. They remind me of a fruit and vegetable garden. The choice of dupion silk is good because it has that organic, uneven texture. So overall, very pretty and flirtatious dresses
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
