Artist's Comments

This is my submission for LBM.. theme was iconic America.
Since I'm not American, when I think about this theme the first things that come to mind are Jackie Kennedy and Breakfast at Tiffany's.. which was my main inspiration.

I kept the designs simple, in shapes and colors, chosing black and white (the white looks yellowish since my marker went out. x.x )

1. Coat: White Satin and black piping for the seams.
2. Suit. Cotton Jersey for the shirt, cotton satin for jacket, cotton or cotton satin pants
3. Gown: Black and white satin silk, the skirt has a petticoat and over it a white satin silk skirt and over that layers of white silk chiffon.
4. Cocktail: Black and white Satin

Sorry this is so rushed, but I've been having finals and went straight to diploma exams this week, which means lots of studying

I really like how these are soo stylized, but you can tell exactly what is going on. My favroite is the trench because of it's unique seaming.

This is a great consistent collection. it is simple and minimalist, and also will definitely make a girl feel hot! My favorite is the trench and the cocktail dress. I like that you chose satin for those, and you illustrated the sheen well. :)

:D Thank you for the comment! Glad you like it. I must admit I had a lot of fun with the trench and I love to play with seams and piping ;)
and stylizing makes the work so much easier!;)

I'm glad you like it.. personally those two are my favourites too ;).. I'm also glad the sheen is visible in the illustrations since I really had to rush this more than I would have liked x.x

I LOVE THIS. This is one of my favourite submissions. The trench is interesting, different, and stylish, and the cocktail dress is very classic, sophisticated, and reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn. Wonderful work!
